Raincheck
Lying in the night as the darkness it closes in
The lights in the sky are winking trying to tell me something I
don’t know
Waiting without light, hoping against hope that you’ll be
moving in
But questions always questions there’s no answer- everywhere
I go
So take a raincheck, take a raincheck on the rest of your lif e
A raincheck, you’ve got me now...
Problems disappear, clouds that pour out tears they only hide the sun
The flame is still alive, it never ever dies, it’s faith we
need
The constancy of love, the fire that burns above, it makes us more than
one
Belief can be so so brief if we recoil from peace and try to feed our
pride,
So take a raincheck…
Who’s the fool for love, the lover though unloved or he who
runs away?
A dog looks pretty sick if after years and years he never even has a day
Open up your eyes to the life that you can’t trust, forget
what they say
Life’s rainbow has no gold, it ends in a six foot hole so
won’t you stay?
So take a raincheck…
